- You Missed Your Period
The most obvious way to know you’re experiencing signs of pregnancy is to pay attention to your monthly cycle. If you know around when it’s supposed to start and find that your period hasn’t started, there’s a chance that an embryo has implanted itself on your uterine wall. Once this happens, the uterine lining that is typically shed during the period now stays attached to the uterus to foster the embryo.
Keep in mind this doesn’t always mean you’ll see no blood whatsoever. Some women actually experience spotting or a “mini period” where a small bit of blood leaks out after the embryo is implanted in the uterus. While this can last for a few days, it is nowhere near as extreme as a full period.

When pregnancy kicks in, your blood flow increases by upward of 65%. This then means that your kidneys are processing a lot more of your waste products a lot faster. The more waste products processed, the more you have to urinate. Some report peeing 25% more often. On top of this, as the womb expands to make room for the growing fetus, it puts pressure on the bladder itself, meaning there is less room for urine to gather before your body is notified that it’s time to head to the bathroom.
